ArmInfo. The Kremlin is satisfied that the situation in Armenia does not go along the path of destabilization.
"We can see that the situation does not go along the path of destabilization, which is satisfying, everything that happens in Yerevan is an internal affair of our Armenian friends, partners and allies. This is a very valuable partner for us, with which we are connected by very extensive ties. We hope that order and stability will remain in the country, and that in the foreseeable future, there will be some outlines of that political configuration that will become a consensus of all forces representing the Armenian people," he said president's press secretary Dmitry Peskov.
At the same time, Peskov considered it inappropriate to compare the events in Armenia and Ukraine. "I would not draw parallels, because the situation is completely different, and it's hardly possible to draw direct parallels, of course, we still have to analyze this situation, we are very attentive to it."
Peskov also informed that Russian President Vladimir Putin has not yet conducted telephone conversations with either the retired Prime Minister Serzh Sargsyan or the acting head of the republic's government Karen Karapetyan. In this context, he recalled that on the evening of April 23, a telephone conversation took place between Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev and Karen Karapetyan.
