


ArmInfo. The Prosperous Armenia Party (PAP) will now have a Secretary General and five deputy chairmen of the party. The corresponding decision was made on the eve of the meeting of the political council of the structure.
According to the press service of the PAP, at the suggestion of Gagik Tsarukyan, the leader of the party, Naira Zohrabyan, a deputy of the National Assembly of Armenia, will hold the post of general secretary. Mikael Melkumian, Sergey Bagratyan, Vardan Vardanyan, Vae Anfiadjian and Armen Arzumanyan became the deputy chairman of the PAP.
At the same time, Mikael Melkumian will deal with works related to program and ideological issues, Sergei Bagratyan - organizational issues of the party, Vardan Vardanyan - Coordination of work with territorial structures, Vae Anfiadjian - youth issues and party personnel resources, and Armen Arzumanyan - foreign policy issues.
Established in 2004 by the well-known Armenian businessman Gagik Tsarukyan, the Prosperous Armenia Party is the second political force represented in the National Assembly of the Republic of Armenia. The faction of the party consists of 26 deputies, and the number of mandates is second only to the ruling Republican Party.
