ArmInfo. The right to lead anti-terrorist operations in Armenia will pass from president of the country to the prime minister. Corresponding amendments to the law "On Combating Terrorism" were approved at the session of the parliament on January 17 in the first reading.
According to the First Deputy Minister of Justice of the Republic of Armenia Artur Hovhannisyan, since April 2018, many of the President's powers, including those related to the fight against terrorism, will pass from the head of state to the Prime Minister of the republic. This provision meets the requirements of the updated Constitution of the country.
