ArmInfo. Nagorno-Karabakh has never been Azerbaijani. This was stated by the member of the National Assembly of the ruling Republican Party of Armenia, the chairman of the permanent commission of the CSTO PA Khosrov Harutyunyan, the chairman of the permanent commission of the CSTO PA,
"In 1921, Nagorno-Karabakh was illegally transferred to Azerbaijan. From that moment, Nagorno- Karabakh is fighting for its freedom and independence. Karabakh became independent before Azerbaijan announced its withdrawal from the USSR," Khosrov Harutyunyan said.
Touching upon the hybrid war, Harutyunyan stressed that all countries should think about opposing the influence of the hybrid war. The term "hybrid war" arose in 2005 in the documents of the United States and the United Kingdom. The whole point is that apart from the use of purely military force, there are other possibilities and mechanisms to influence the opponent - economic, diplomatic, psychological. Today, the hybrid war is of importance not only in the context of interstate relations, but also in the course of conflicts," he said. And in this context, he added that any country to improve the effectiveness of its security system must think about improving its own security system, improving immune characteristics so that it can effectively resist this hybrid influence and ensure its own security. At inter-parliamentary hearings, reports were read out on such areas as: Legal support for countering hybrid wars; Geopolitical risks and chances of the project "Greater Eurasia"; Balkan experience in hybrid wars; Separate issues of institutionalization of civil society assistance to ensure national security in a hybrid war; Scientific and information policy in the polycentric world of the hybrid war. Representatives of Serbia attended the hearings as observers.
In Yerevan there is a delegation of the CSTO PA, who arrived in Armenia to attend the visiting session of the Standing Committee on Political Affairs and International Cooperation of the structure.
