APA reports quoting the head of the press service of the Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry Hikmet Hajiyev, the Portuguese diplomat expressed concern over the "illegal visit" of the member of the Portuguese parliament, Rubina Berardin to Nagorno-Karabakh.
According to him, in this regard, the Portuguese diplomat noted that the trip was of a private nature, and the website of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Portugal posted information urging citizens to refrain from visiting Nagorno-Karabakh. The Charge d'Affaires of Portugal also assured that he will bring concern of the Azerbaijani side to the leadership of his country. He stressed that "Portugal, in accordance with the norms and principles of international law, supports the territorial integrity and sovereignty of Azerbaijan within the internationally recognized borders, which was reiterated by the Portuguese Foreign Minister and other officials during last year's official visit of the Foreign Minister of Azerbaijan Elmar Mammadyarov in this country. " According to Hajiyev, Berardin will be included in the list of undesirable persons of the Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry.
