ArmInfo. Cancellation of visas of Qatar nationals is directed to the development of the tourism, and is not related to the political processes, Armenian MFA Deputy head Shavarsh Qocharyan stated during the conversation with the journalists on June 8 after Government session of the Government.

According to the Deputy Minister, in the near future, the  liberalization of the visa regime will affect citizens of six other  countries. As Qocharyan noted, Georgia has established a visa-free  regime for citizens of a much larger number of countries in the  world, which resulted more tourists come there. 

According to the representative of foreign political department of  Armenia, the reasons of severing of relations between a number of  Islamic countries and Qatar, is  "out of our field". To note, since  June 10, citizens of Qatar have the right to visit Armenia without  visas.

Earlier on June 5, Saudi Arabia, Egypt, Bahrain and the UAE severed  diplomatic contacts with Qatar, stating  that Doha assists  international terrorist organizations. In the future, the eastern  part of Libya, Yemen, the Maldives and Mauritius announced the  rupture of diplomatic relations with the emirate. The scandal picked  up a new round when it became known that the official Qatari paid the  group related to Al- Qaeda, almost billion dollars for the release of  members of royal family.
