ArmInfo.Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov sees only one way to resolve the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict.
So, Lavrov at the Baltic Federal State University after Kant (Kaliningrad), responding to a question about how he sees the settlement of the Karabakh conflict, in particular, stated: "Only negotiate, there is no other way. There are arrangements for a long period of the negotiation process, which took various forms. Many times we were close to the denouement (even at arm's length), then some kind of instinct of distrust was triggered from one side, then the other. But the work must continue. It is clear that there is a set of principles that are generally approved by all, but the matter is in detail."
At the same time, he stressed that with the consent of the parties as to what the outcome should be at different stages of the movement, it is necessary to agree in advance a number of very complex details that touch on sensitive issues for each side, including internal political ones. "We do not stop trying. Russia, as you know, together with the United States and France is co-chair of the OSCE Minsk Group. As part of this "three" and together with the special representative of the OSCE, we meet regularly with the parties. Experts of the "three" regularly travel to Baku, Yerevan and Stepanakert. Now we will have a "change", because the new presidents of the United States and France must still appoint their new representatives. We will, within the framework of this "three" think how to overcome the small in appearance, but very serious details that have not yet been agreed upon," summed up Lavrov.
