ArmInfo. Armenian citizen Hrachya Harutyunyan, sentenced to 6 years and 9 months in prison for an accident in Russia, as a result of which 18 people died, will be extradited to Armenia. Deputy Minister of Justice of Armenia Vigen Kocharyan told ArmInfo correspondent.
"The Armenian authorities, the Ministry of Justice have made consistent efforts to resolve the issue. The financial obligations that prevented his extradition and which arose as a result of civil claims brought against the victims and their relatives against Harutyunyan were resolved," the deputy minister said, adding that it is too early to talk about the terms of extradition.
To recall, Harutyunyan in July 2013 was in a major accident in the territory of "new Moscow" on his truck, "KamAZ", 18 people died.
