ArmInfo."New Armenia" movement coordinator Andrias Ghukasyan who is in Nubarashen CEI, made a statement on parliamentary elections held in Armenia.
"It is not the time to become desperate. The Regime spent millions of dollars to achieve the wished results in last parliamentary elections, however, what it received in reality, costs nothing in the political point of view. The bribes depreciated the pre-electoral campaign of the Premier Karen Karapetyan and destroyed the hopes of people for changes. That means however, that the issue of formation of legitimate power in Armenia remains unsolved. The fraud that took place is a big bubble that can burst in any moment. I am sure that civilian observers continue to follow the information gathered during the elections. Forming a right impression about the violations. The opposition by its actions must demonstrate that its not disappointed and will continue the struggle against the regime", Ghukasyan's statement reads.
"New Armenia" movement coordinator Andreas Ghukasyan was arrested during the recent events in Yerevan, when Sasna Tsrer group seized a police compound demanding among others the resignation of the president. Andrias Ghukasyan started his hunger strike on August 1 and continues it for 19 days already. He is charged with Article 225.1 (organization of mass unrest) of the Criminal Code of Armenia.
