
ArmInfo. Artsakh Prime Minister Ara Haroutyunyan confirmed Karen Karapetyan's words regarding numerous problems with low quality fuel in RA and Nagorno Karabakh during many years.
According Haroutyunan's statement to Zhoghovurd weekly, this problem with the diesel fuel is not new for Armenia and for Artsakh, and it is pretty long time that a low quality fuel is being used while operating agricultural, construction techniques and transportation means. "What is to April events, at that time , as well as after, many construction companies working for the Defense Army, had numerous problems with low quality fuel, because the Government purchased it in a downstream method from private suppliers.
According to Haroutyunyan, there were problems also with transportation means serving for the Army, which, according to specialists, was preconditioned with the law quality fuel. "The problem mentioned caused not only terminations in techniques operations, but also the delays in engineering works. We should understand that such problems could not be absolutely ruled out under fast procurement," he summarized.
To note, on March 1st Prime Minister of Armenia Karen Karapetyan from the rostrum of parliament, said that during the April war there were problems with the operation of military equipment due to low-quality diesel fuel.
In this respect former Defense Minister Seyran Ohanyan stated the following: "If the Prime Minister or the Government of Armenia has the facts that during the April aggression of Azerbaijan in Karabakh, the military equipment did not work due to low-quality diesel fuel, then these facts should do the appropriate structures"
Vigen Sargsyan, the present Minister of Defense, tried to soften the situation, stating that Karen Karapetyan's words were picked from context and wrong interpreted. Meanwhile, during his conversation with journalists, Karen Karapetyan repeated his words about the problems with diesel fuel.
