ArmInfo. The Armenian people need the Armenian Communist Party's presence in parliament of the 6th convocation, said the first secretary of the Central Committee of the CPA Tachat Sargsyan 6 at the press conference in Yerevan on March.
He reacted to the statements of opponents that the Communist Party is suffering nostalgia and wish to return to the Soviet era. "It was in the years of the Soviet Union when we had major achievements, in Armenia there was no socio-economic problem, citizens had access to all the conditions, parents did not concern about the future of their children, did not take credit for the education fees", said the communist.
The head of the Communist Party also said that every 10th citizen of Armenia goes to bed hungry. At the same time he was concerned about the pace of migration, particularly labor migration of Armenian women in the Emirates and Turkey. "It is uncomfortable, when Armenian women try to earn a living and support their families. On the eve of March 8, I urge the Armenian women to return to the family and to be with their husbands. It is necessary to return to the opportunities that Armenians had in Soviet times", he stressed.
Sargsyan also considered important the economic development. In this context, he welcomed the decision of the authorities of Armenia to join the Eurasian Economic Union, but at the same time stressed the need for cooperation with the EU.
"We offer a decent job for every citizen, affordable and quality education and medical care, a secure old age, happy childhood, housing in exchange for votes. If the communists win - win the people as we entered into a bloc with the people that need the presence of our party in parliament" he resumed.
