The Azeri troops retreated, suffering losses. Several bodies of the Azeri servicemen are in the neutral zone. The Armenian side suffered no losses.
After this incident, the Turkish Foreign Ministry stated, which reads in particularly: "To curb collisions similar to those that occurred in April 2016 along the contact line and Armenia-Azerbaijan state border, urge Armenia to respect the ceasefire and to end immediately violations. As a member of the OSCE Minsk Group, created for the settlement of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict, Turkey will continue to support efforts to achieve a just and lasting settlement, in the framework of the territorial integrity and sovereignty of Azerbaijan. In this regard, we consider it necessary to intensify the efforts of the Minsk Group to resolve the conflict as soon as possible".
