ArmInfo. The general jurisdiction court of Nagorno-Karabakh took a decision to arrest Azeri raider Elnur Husseinzade for two months. The latter is charged with having attempted a sabotage attack and illegal crossing of the NKR border.
The press office of the NKR Justice Department has told ArmInfo that the decision was taken on Feb 4.
To recall, on Feb 1 the Karabakh troops suppressed another attempted sabotage attack mounted by the Azeri armed forces. The Azeri raiders tried to take advantage of the foggy weather, but the detachments of the NKR Defense Army fixed the displacement of the Azeri special detachments in due time and took relevant measures, forcing the enemy to retreat. As a result, the forward detachments of the NKR Defense Army captured Elnur Husseinzade, an Azeri serviceman (born in 1995, native of Bard town). The source reports that at least one Azeri serviceman was wounded and the Azeri Defense Ministry has already confirmed this in its media reports. However, the Azeri mass media also reported that Husseinzade allegedly violated the discipline during his military service and later was demobilized.
To note, earlier Ombudsman of Artsakh Ruben Melikyan visited Husseinzade, familiarized himself with the latter's incarceration conditions and made sure that the arrestee has been provided with a public defender and an interpreter. Husseinzade expressed no complaints related to his health condition or any mistreatment.
