ArmInfo.Tigran Urikhanyan's Alliance Party will run in the parliamentary elections as part of the Gagik Tsarukyan bloc, Urikhanyan said at a press conference in Yerevan on Feb 3. He stressed that he has always supported Tsarukyan, even when the latter left mainstream politics.
To note, ArmInfo has been told by parliamentary sources that Prosperous Armenia Party leader Naira Zohrabyan was against the inclusion of the Alliance Party and Urikhanyan in the Gagik Tsarukyan bloc. A conflict arose between Urikhanyan and Zohrabyan and their personal insults appeared in the social networks and mass media.
On February 5, the Gagik Tsarukyan bloc will sign a memorandum of cooperation. The bloc will include Prosperous Armenia, Ramkavar Azatakan, Social-Democrat Hunchakyan Party, Pan-Armenian National Movement and Alliance Party. The bloc's list will be topped by Tsarukyan himself. The list will also include Leader of Pan-Armenian National Movement Ararat Zurabyan, ex-foreign minister Alexander Arzumanyan, leaders of Hunchakyan and Ramkavar Azatakan parties Narek Galstyan and Hakob Avetikyan; Tigran Urikhanyan from Alliance Party, MPs from Prosperous Armenia Party Naira Zohrabyan, Vahe Enfiakyan, Mikayel Melkumyan, as well as Tsarukyan's spokesperson Iveta Tonoyan.
The ranked list of the bloc will include such figures as Sergey Hovjannisyan (aka Cadillac Serozh), ex- mayor of Gyumri Vardan Ghukasyan (aka Vardanik), ex-lawmaker from the Republican Party of Armenia Hakob Hakobyan (aka Tshoyt), scandalous lawmaker Zorik Zohrabyan (aka Jimmi), ex head of Arabkir community of Yerevan Hovik Shahinyan, lawmaker Mher Sedrakyan's son David Sedrakyan, and Tsarukyan's son-in-law, mayor of Artashat Argam Abrahamyan.
