ArmInfo. Actions of Yelq coalition will be aimed at peaceful shift of power in Armenia, member of the coalition and leader of Prosperous Armenia party Edmon  Marukyan stated. 

He added that the bloc was not created to join any political force.  "Yelk was formed for consolidation and achievement of victory, which  in turn will lead to serious and system changes", the politician  added. At the same time the leader of the party noted that a lot of  political forces make various statements, however none of them speaks  about the need of supremacy of law, establishment of democracy,  freedom, mechanism of mutual control among the branches of power.  "These are the fundamental values based on which the new system  should be developed. The Armenian society waits for changes and we  will strive for that", the politician thinks. 

In his opinion the authorities promote the idea that it is impossible  to reach changes via elections. "The example of Vanadzor demonstrated  that it is possible and in this city we enjoy oppositionist  statements of the representatives of the Republican Party, which  became minority there", he stressed. At the same time Marukyan urged  the citizens to participate in the elections on April 2 and help to  send the ruling system to opposition. 

It was previously reported that the Yelk bloc comprises Civil  Contract Party, Enlightened Armenia Party, and Republic Party. The  bloc's negotiations with Gyumri-based Gala Party and some members of  Heritage Party are not over yet.
