ArmInfo. Persons, who got enriched at the cost of supplies to the army, will be punished, Vigen Sargsyan, the Armenian Defense Minister stated during his interview to the 1st Public Channel.
At that, the Minister stated that there are still some problems existing with supplies to the army. "During recent months the number of incomplete shipments was sharply decreased and the prices reduced. We will do everything to make any wealth accumulation quite impossible at the cost of the army. Besides, all the businessmen and officials, enriched at the cost of the army, will be punished. We will implement al the appropriate procedures to rule out the theft," Sargsyan said.
Referring to the situation at the border, the Minister stated that Armenian Military Forces keep the situation under control and possess the resources needed to secure peace at the border. The Defense Ministry head informed also, that the Training Center of the State Revenues Committee in Dilijan is planned to handover to the Military School after Monte Melkonyan.
To mention, Vigen Sargsyan, the Armenian Defense Minister, and Mary Lou Papazyan, the Executive Director of the Simonyan Educational Foundation, on January 14 signed a Memorandum on Cooperation. The document assumes trainings on software possessing skills for military servicemen. In the framework of the Memorandum the Tumo Center of Creative Technologies, which is also a participant of the project, will teach servicemen the scientific achievements of 21st century. The duration of the training process is estimated as 18 months, and will be arranged in according to the appropriate schedule in Tumo offices.
