


ArmInfo. CSTO new Secretary General assignment postponed until the next session of the CSTO Board, which will take place in April next year, the Presidential press office informs.
"Due to the absence of Belarusian President at the CSTO Board session, the new Secretary General assignment is postponed until the next session, which will take place in April next year," the press office of Armenian president states.
On December 26 CSTO Board session tool place in St.Petersburg. Issues on current activities of CSTO were discussed and opinions exchanged due to key problems of global and regional agenda. Earlier a decision was taken to implement a rotation principle in respect to CSTO Secretary General,based on Russian alphabet. The name of the Secretary General should be voiced in Yerevan. But, according to the statement of Srzh Sargsyan, the President of Armenia, the issue has been excluded from the agenda of October 14 session due to the absence of Nursultan Nazarbaev, the President of Kazakhstan. He stated at that time that Parties will refer to this issue at the St Petersburg session.
