
ArmInfo. Leader of the Third Republic Party, former Deputy Head of Armenia's President's Administration Viktor Dallakyan stated at the party's congress today that they demand to establish investigative parliamentary committees.
Particularly, Dallakyan proposed forming investigative parliamentary committees on investigating the terror attack on October 27 1999 in the National Assembly of Armenia, the events of March 1, 2008 the seizure of Police Compound in July 2016, as well as violations during various protests of opposition and civil society.
He also proposed to establish a committee, which will study the income sources of all the high-ranking officials who have ever been represented in power since Armenia's independence.
Another committee should be established for studying the lawfulness of the process of privatization of state property since 1991, a committee should also be created for studying appropriateness of using foreign grants and loans.
And finally a parliamentary committee should be formed, which will work on returning capital illegally taken out from Armenia.
Dallakyan also made proposals related to foreign policy. According to him Armenia should conduct multi- faceted foreign policy based on exclusively own interests. "Armenia should be a subject rather than an object of international policy", he summarized.
According to spread information currently "Unity" Party headed by the former Foreign Minister Vartan Oskanian, "Heritage" and "Democratic Party" headed by Aram Gasparyan are holding negotiations on creating a joint coalition. According to non-verified data the coalition is backed by the second President Robert Kocharyan, however his office refuted this information. According to mass media Head of Union of Armenians of Russia Ara Abrahamyan and Russian entrepreneur of Armenian origin Andranik Nikoghosyan will sponsor the coalition.
Former Minister of National Security of Armenia Karlos Petrosyan and former Head of Special Operations Unit of the Ministry of National Security Artur Aleksanyan also intend to join the coalition. The latter has large ties in authoritative circles of Diaspora. Former Minister of Defense of Nagorno Karabakh Samvel Babayan will also join the coalition in the nearest future. Former Defense Minister of Armenia Seyran Ohanyan will lead the new political union.
