ArmInfo.In order to save Armenia from the running "criminal" regime, which has led the country to depopulation and crippled the nationhood it is necessary to create a joint front in which both Armenians of the country and Diaspora should unite not allowing retention of the current authorities via rigged parliamentary elections in 2017, Leader of the Third Republic Party, former Deputy of Armenia's President's Administration Viktor Dallakyan stated at the party's congress stressing that Armenia needs a velvet revolution.
According to him if the current regime continues to rule the country it will threat Armenian nationhood and may lead to its loss. "If the running authorities do not leave revolution will start", Dallakyan stated.
He emphasized that the party headed by him is currently holding negotiations on establishing a joint front opposing the authorities, however he refrained from naming the negotiating forces
According to spread information currently "Unity" Party headed by the former Foreign Minister Vartan Oskanian, "Heritage" and "Democratic Party" headed by Aram Gasparyan are holding negotiations on creating a joint coalition. According to non-verified data the coalition is backed by the second President Robert Kocharyan, however his office refuted this information. According to mass media Head of Union of Armenians of Russia Ara Abrahamyan and Russian entrepreneur of Armenian origin Andranik Nikoghosyan will sponsor the coalition. Former Minister of National Security of Armenia Karlos Petrosyan and former Head of Special Operations Unit of the Ministry of National Security Artur Aleksanyan also intend to join the coalition. The latter has large ties in authoritative circles of Diaspora. Former Minister of Defense of Nagorno Karabakh Samvel Babayan will also join the coalition in the nearest future. Former Defense Minister of Armenia Seyran Ohanyan will lead the new political union.
