ArmInfo.European Court of Human Rights required clarifications from Armenian Government in respect to the health condition of Arthur Sargsyan, arrested due to the case of Police Patrol Building seizure, the statement of Sragsyan's lawyers Tigran Yegoryan, David Gjurdjian and Vahe Grigoryan reads.
Lawyers reminded that on December 17 they applied to the European Court of Human Rights asking to undertake urgent steps to make Armenian government provide Sargsyan with a proper medical treatment and, if necessary, to relocate him to a civil hospital. "In two day term, according to the statute, the European Court of Human Rights addressed an inquiry to Armenian Government, claiming a demand to submit an information about Sargsyan'shealth condition, and his medical card comprising treatment arrangements," the lawyers' statement reads.
To remind, he position of Nubarashen penitentiary employees in respect to Sargsyan, which has been characterized by lawyers as inhuman, made them to submit a claim to the European Court of Human Rights. Arthur Sargsyan suffers with Bakhterev disease, and he is a military handicap of 2nd grade. The medical treatment was provided to him at the penitentiary only after multiple claims.
