Some roads in Armenia hard to travel over due to heavy snow

ArmInfo.As of 12:30 AM (local time), some roads are hard to travel over or closed. As ArmInfo was informed at the Ministry of Emergency Situations, the Vardenyac pass, Amasia-Gyumri, Gyumri-Bavra. Gyumri-Vanadzor are closed. Stepanavan  and Tigranashen  highlands passes, as well as Sotk-Karvachar, Saravan-Zange, Artemi-Talin-Mastara,  Stepanaven-Odzun,Vanadzor-Stepanavan, Vanadzor-Dilijan,  Gyumri-Armavir, and all the roads in Syunik. Kotayk and Tavush are  closed. Berd- Chambarak and Sarvan-Zangre are under snowstorm, and  there is a bad visibility at the "Meghri Sar" sector. 

The Ministry of Emergency Situations of Armenia, referring to the  Emergency Situations Department of Georgia, notes that the Upper Lars  checkpoint is closed for all kinds of vehicles.   About 340 vehicles  are blocked there as of by now. Vehicles concentrations are observed  on other roads of the Republic. And the hydro meteorological  service  informs that  frosts are expected from December 18.
