
ArmInfo. Parties of Civil Contract, Bright Armenia and The Republic signed a Memorandum on Joint Political Activities, which assumes the consolidation of these parties in a single block in respect to upcoming elections.
The memorandum particularly states, that henceforth all the political decisions will be taken by the participants on the base of consensus, including those of amending the alliance with other streams. The participants did not rule out the possibility, that after elections they will form a new party. The memorandum states also, that the participants of the block will be aimed at building Armenia based ona European model, with all the legal, democratic and social values, keeping at the same time all the national habits. The participants of the block also ensured that in their activities they will be ruled not by the interests of their party, but by those of whole the Armenian nation.
Referring to the expectations of the alliance in respect to upcoming elections, the Civil Contract leader Nikol Pashinyan particularly stated that they expect to get 50+1% or 50+2% of votes. The leader of The Republic Party, Ex-Prime Minister Aa Sargsyan stated in his turn: " We consolidated to win, we are not afraid of prisons, we have a good potential, our background is clear, and our team includes experienced political leaders. I am confident that, within the consideration of all this, our results will be essential. Talking about financial resources of the block, Edmon Marukyan, the Bright Armenia party leader, stated that Bright Armenia and the Civil Contract capsulate their finances by fund raising. "Tonight a regular fundraising will take place. I am confident that businessmen will also support us," Marukyan said.
And The Republic Party leader Aram Sargsyan stated, that the fundraising should be implemented not for funding the block. And for filling the gaps in Armenian budget. "Today we must attract investments to the Armenian economy, because Armenia's budget is unable to resist any this situation any more," Aram Sargsyan summarized the press conference .
