ArmInfo. 1000 AMD payments from salaries of Armenian citizens according to draft law "On compensation for harm to life or health of servicemen defending the Republic of Armenia", is nothing more than a fine, oppositionist MP Nikol Pashinyan stated at the parliament today.
"We are forced to pay a fine for not being able to form efficient authorities, build a state and for having only 3 bln budget after 25 years of independence", Pashinyan stated.
"There is a new trend to try solving all the problems at the expense of people, private donations while the state does not carry out its task. For recent 7 years the state failed to perform the plan of strategic development of defense sector saying that it lacks money, at the same time they spend $60 mln for building a summer cottage for the Central Bank, several bln dollars on "sauna bath in Dilijan" for the Tax Service, state officials arrive at work by cars costing several hundred thousand dollars and say that there is no money and 1000 AMD should be collected", the MP noted.
Meanwhile, according to him global problems can not be solved with these 1000 drams. "Solution to the current situation is to create a special parliamentary commission on studying income sources of high ranking officials, MPs and their families. We should find out from where they got their money and all the stolen money should be returned to budget", Pashinyan stated, informing that he will come up with an initiative on creating such a commission in the nearest future.
