


ArmInfo. Another charge was pressed against member of Sasna Tsrer group Smbat Barseghyan under Article 104, part 2, point 1, 2, 3 of the Armenia's Criminal Code (murder). The press-service of Armenia's General Prosecutor's Office has told ArmInfo that the relevant decision was made by the body conducting pretrial proceeding on November 10 based on obtained evidences.
Earlier charges based on the following articles of the Criminal Code of Armenia were brought against Barseghyan: Article 218.1.3 (hostage taking), Article 235.3 (illegal arms traffic) and Article 238.4 (Theft or extortion of weapons, ammunition, explosives and explosive devices).
Noteworthy, earlier Armenian Police have published Smbat Barseghyan's photo under the material on murder of policeman Yuri Tepanyan by a sniper during July events.
To recall, on July 17, Artsakh war hero Zhirayr Sefilyan's armed supporters, who are calling themselves "Sasna Tsrer" (The Daredevils of Sasun), seized the building of the Patrol-Guard Service Regiment in Erebuni district of Yerevan. The group was controlling the building for two weeks and surrendered on July 31. During the events 3 law enforcers were killed, another 6 were injured. Many of the group members were also wounded during firefighting. 31 members of the group were arrested under the case.
