The Minister: we should struggle against corruptioners not call  them  out for social  fairness

ArmInfo.  The Parliamentary Commission on Defense, National Security and Internal Affairs approved the Draft law on the " Life or Health Loss Reimbursement for Militaries Defending the Republic of Armenia", which assumes the establishment of the Financial Reimbursement Fund for the families of  militaries, perished in combat conditions, and for disabled  militaries and their families.  

During the discussion Vigen Sargsyan, the Defense Minister, stated  once again that every employed national will be obliged to pay  AMD  1000 monthly fee to that Fund. He added within this, that it is not  something like new kind of tax, as it was  has been stated by some   of social networks  users and politicians. "In Armenia we have fees  that are subject to be paid independently of the revenues volumes,  and are lump sums. And this AMD 1000  is one of such fees," Minister  said. 

The Minister added, that this AMD 1000 is a minimal lump sum, but  those who want could pay more.  Sargsyan accentuated also that   in  respect to this issue  he will try to consolidate the potential of  all the nation. "The Armenia nation is not only that three million  that live in Armenia, it is also Diaspora, and we will try to use the  potential of all the 10 million," he stated. Sargsyan also referred   to the claims posted at social networks regarding the compulsory  payments to that fund to be implemented by businessmen and  entrepreneurs. In this context he stated   that  after April  aggression all the law makers pay a 2% of their salaries as a  fee    to the Defense Ministry, and  Government members several times have  transferred to the Ministry's account  their whole salaries. "Some  businessmen use to help injured troops and their families, and they  just do not adevertise that. Hence, there is no need to criticize  everybody. And if the society do want the corruptioners to get  indulgence by doing charities, this is not the best way then. We  should struggle against corruptioners not call  them out for social   fairness," Sargsyan mentioned. 

To note, if the Parliament approves this Draft Law, the fund  for  life or health loss reimbursement for militaries defending the  Republic of Armenia will be established. 

The families of  militaries  perished  or  obtained the 1st grade of   disability wil receivea AMD 10 mln lump  sum allowance, militaries of  the 2nd grade of disability, will be  paid   AMD 5 mln lump sum  insurance. In a case of death or 1st  grade  disability monthly  payments will form AMD 300.000 for officers,  250.000 for  law ranked  officers and 200.000 for privates.  In a case  of injury causing 2nd  grade disability, these allowances will form  AMD 250.000, 200.000  and 150.000 respectively. Minister stated also,  that these payments  will   be implemented during 20-year period, and  AMD 82 mln will be  allocated for the officers personnel, AMD 70 mln  for low ranked  officers and AMD 48 mln for privates.
