Deputy Head of NSS refuses to answer to MPs` questions, Koryun Nahapetyan demands to present report

ArmInfo. According to the draft budget of 2017 19.91 bln drams will be allocated to the National Security Service of Armenia, which will be spent on the maintenance of the agency, Deputy Head of NSS Aram Hakobyan stated.

MP Gagik Jangiryan noted that compared to the previous year the funds allocated to NSS have been cut by 98 millions. He expressed concerns that this fact may negatively affect the structure's work but the Deputy Head of NSS dispelled these apprehensions.

Hakobyan refused to provide information on the other questions saying that the work of NSS is secret. He suggested the MPs sending written requests and receiving the information they want in written form.  Koryun Nahapetyan, Chair of Standing Committee on Defense, National Security and Internal Affairs, got frustrated and demanded from the Deputy Head of NSS to present financial reports of the work. "Everything related to budget should be transparent", he noted.
