ArmInfo. The government will fight monopolies under new rules of the game, Prime Minister Karen Karapetyan stated today answering to journalists' questions.
"There will be equal rules of the game. As the market is small there will always be large players in various fields, the question is whether these monopolies are natural or not. However, this does not mean that we will put an end to successful business", he stressed. Answering to a journalist's question whether there were other rules before his appointment, he answered yes. At the same time he did not agree that his predecessor Abrahamyan has failed his mission. "Abrahamyan has picked up a heavy burden in complex conditions", he noted.
At the same time Karapetyan noted that the situation has changed in the country since he has left the position of Yerevan mayor and this determines his return to politics. "I am very concerned over the economic situation in the country", the Prime Minister stated. "Complex economic situation develops due to objective and subjective reasons, we should make a right diagnosis and start treatment", he noted.
According to him he responds with a smile on remarks that he is Kremlin's envoy. Answering to the question what external political line he will take, Karapetyan said that he will present a program reflecting his vision.
