ArmInfo. Foreign Ministry of Armenia is currently verifying if there were citizens of Armenia among those feared killed or injured in the earthquake that hit Italy's center overnight, Ministry Spokesperson Tigran Balayan told ArmInfo.
A strong magnitude 6.2 earthquake hit Italy's center at 3.36am local time today. The epicenter of the quakewas near the town of Accumoli in the north-east of the Lazio region, 10km south-east of Norcia, a town in the province of Perugia. At least 20 people feared dead. The quake, which was followed by a series of aftershocks up to an hour later, was felt across central Italy as far as Rome.
