ArmInfo. In crisis conditions telecommunication market of Armenia has lost up to 10 of its income because of decline of the number of subscribers using services of mobile and landline connection amid increased demand for internet services, CEO of Beeline Armenia company Andrey Pyatakhin told ArmInfo's correspondent.
Thus, according to him Beeline's income as of the end of last year declined by 8 to 53.1 bln AMD, which was mainly determined by decline of profit from landline connection services (by 13 to 27.6 bln AMD), while income from mobile connection services reduced by 4 to 23.7 bln AMD.
According to Pyatakhin considering this trend the company will continue to provide new interesting offers and products to its subscribers. In this context he stated that on September 1 Beeline will announce about commercial launch of CDMA network, which will provide access to high speed internet in all the regions of Armenia. "It is important to note that we are the first to launch CDMA not only on the country scale but also within VimpelCom", he stressed.
At the same time the company actively works towards launching IPTV- new convergent product for the subscribers of landline connection. "On the current stage we are testing the new product and cooperate with a lot of partners in order to find the best solution for the clients", Pyatakhin noted. In overall due to its convergent services the company manages to remain competitive on the Armenian market in crisis conditions. The CEO of the company brought as an example tariff package of NEO services, which reduces subscribers' expenses to up to 30. "It is the very convergent offer that brings income and enlarges client base", he stressed.
Pyatakhin informed that as of the results of the previous year subscriber base of Beeline increased by 80 thousand clients (or by more than 11). The market invites Beeline to move towards digital transformation and according to the CEO of the company it has 2 years for implementing this transition. Under harsh pressure of crisis the company still managed to retain net income before payment of taxes-so called EBIDTA index, which reached 18.9 bln AMD in 2015 with 1 y-o-y growth, while EBIDTA margin increased to 36 from 32 for the financial year. "Actually, for Beeline this is a great reason to be proud of", he noted.
