ArmInfo. Suren Tovmasyan, head of the Armenian Cadastre Committee, declined to answer a question about whether the village of Tigranashen is part of the Armenian state.
In a conversation with journalists on November 6, Suren Tovmasyan noted that he doesn't remember the registration data by heart, but the law "On Administrative-Territorial Division," which allows for the existence of this settlement, remains in effect in the country. "I don't remember exactly whether it's a village or a district; there's a specific wording there, but the basis for its appearance there is a separate issue that should be addressed by lawyers," the head of the Cadastre Committee said.
He also declined to comment on RA Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan's remarks about the possibility of relocating the village of Artsvashen. "We were talking about possible solutions to the issue." “Clarifications can be provided when a decision is finally formulated and presented on paper,” added Suren Tovmasyan.
