ArmInfo. Turkey will announce a tender for the construction of the Ani Bridge. Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan announced this during a briefing on November 5, explaining that this decision was made to avoid procedural complications.
He noted that the winning company will sign an agreement with both Turkey and the Republic of Armenia.
"We will go through these procedures soon, and the bridge reconstruction will begin," the Prime Minister emphasized.
As a reminder, the Ani Bridge (10th-11th centuries) is a historical architectural monument connecting the banks of the Akhuryan River on the border of Armenia and Turkey. The authorities of Armenia and Turkey have agreed to jointly restore the centuries-old bridge, which was destroyed on the Silk Road, as part of the normalization process.
