ArmInfo. Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan commented on the increasing number of deaths of conscripts in non-combat situations. During a briefing on November 5, he said that a working group created under the Ministry of Defense is working, but it is impossible to constantly remain an observer and take events for granted.
It should be noted that on November 2, another non-combat death of a conscript was reported. The Ministry of Defense previously issued similar statements on October 10 and September 24.
According to human rights organizations and independent sources, by the end of August 2026, between 31 and 35 non-combat deaths of service members had been recorded in the Armenian Armed Forces. Official statistics from the Armenian Ministry of Defense give a different figure: as of mid-August 2026, the ministry officially confirmed 11 deaths (including five among conscripts). However, human rights activists and opposition MPs insist that the official data does not reflect the true scale of the problem and includes only a portion of the incidents.
