ArmInfo. Artsvik Minasyan, secretary of the opposition parliamentary faction "Armenia," was elected as a member of the Competition and Consumer Protection Commission.
According to the press service of the "Armenia" bloc, 58 MPs voted for his candidacy. Minasyan was the joint candidate of the parliamentary factions "Armenia" and "Strong Armenia."
It should be noted that in his speech, Artsvik Minasyan emphasized the need to grant the commission the right to evaluate various issues. In particular, he noted that immediately after the trials at the Ararat Cement Plant, cement prices skyrocketed, and now, even after the plant's restart, they are declining very slowly, which is affecting the construction industry. The commission, as the candidate noted, should have the right to evaluate this type of development.
