One person died and another was hospitalized in a collapse at a sewer line site, according to Yerevan City Hall.

ArmInfo. One person died and another was hospitalized in a landslide on Gadzhegortsneri Street in Yerevan, on the road leading to the Salt Lake.

As Julietta Azaryan, press secretary of the Yerevan City Hall, told ArmInfo, the landslide occurred as a result of sewer line installation. "In Yerevan, on Gadzhegortsneri Street, on the road leading to the Salt Lake, a section dug during sewer line installation work collapsed. As a result of the incident, one person, unfortunately, died, and the second person is out of danger and was taken to a medical center," the press secretary of the Yerevan City Hall noted.

It should be noted that the Investigative Committee of Armenia has opened a criminal investigation into the landslide to clarify all the circumstances of the incident.
