Armenia is interested in expanding cooperation with India and studying India's experience in the context of joining the Nagoya Protocol on Access to Genetic Resources and the Equitable Sharing of Benefits Arising from their Utilization (ABS). According to the press service of the Ministry of Environment, this was stated by the head of the environmental agency, Ambartsum Matevosyan, speaking at an event dedicated to ABS.

In particular, he stated that the equitable sharing of benefits should contribute to the conservation of biodiversity, improving the well-being of local communities, and expanding access to knowledge and technology. As President of COP17, Ambartsum Matevosyan emphasized the need to translate joint commitments into concrete, practical results.
