ArmInfo. Environment Minister Amburtsum Matevosyan has been elected President of COP17 for a two-year term. This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Environment, citing the results of the plenary session at the opening of the Conference of the Parties to the UN Convention on Biological Diversity (COP17).

," he noted, expressing gratitude for the trust placed in him. In his opening remarks, the Minister emphasized that Armenia's chairmanship will be guided by the principles of open dialogue, inclusiveness, and mutual respect.

 

Let Yerevan become a place where shared commitments translate into joint actions for the benefit of nature, present and future generations,>," Matevosyan said.
