ArmInfo. The legal status of the French University of Armenia Foundation will be updated. The RA government approved the ratification of the agreement between Armenia and France at its October 8 meeting.
The project's rationale emphasizes that the updated agreement defines the foundation's legal status, governance structure, governing bodies, and the distribution of responsibilities between the Armenian and French parties. The document aims to strengthen the country's socioeconomic development, train specialists to meet labor market demands, develop applied research, and implement international academic standards.
Earlier, at the end of 2024, the government also allocated additional space to the university in the building of the National Agrarian University of Armenia for the development of educational and laboratory programs. The long-term strategy includes expanding the university's activities and integrating it into the Academic City, a major educational cluster project.
The agreement between the two governments was signed on May 5, 2026.
