ArmInfo. Leader of the socio-political initiative "Adekvad" and activist Artur Danielyan has been arrested for two months.Attorney Tigran Atanesyan reported this on his Facebook page.
The corresponding decision was made by Roman Smbatyan, a judge at the Court of General Jurisdiction for Criminal Cases of the city of Yerevan.
Earlier, Atanesyan reported that the charges against Danielyan had been supplemented. "In particular, several episodes were added to Clause 3, Part 2 of Article 297 of the Criminal Code of Armenia (hooliganism committed using information or communication technologies - ed.), as well as Part 2 of Article 490 for discrediting the NSS through a Facebook post," the lawyer wrote.
Let us recall that Danielyan was detained on October 7. As the lawyer reported at the time, the activist was charged over a Facebook post. It is noteworthy that the day before, the activist had sharply criticized Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, commenting on his interview with "Infocom". In particular, Danielyan called the Armenian prime minister a "degenerate" after Pashinyan stated that he did not intend to exchange an Azerbaijani serviceman for one of the Armenian prisoners of war. Danielyan himself said that, for three days prior to his detention, Azerbaijanis had been circulating his statements and threatening him. He expressed the conviction that his detention was an attempt to intimidate others who oppose the authorities currently in power in Armenia.
