


ArmInfo. A delegation led by Lumír Kantor, Chairman of the Senate Committee on Social Policy of the Czech Parliament, visited the Tsitserankaberd Memorial Complex to the Victims of the Armenian Genocide.
According to the press service of the Armenian Genocide Museum-Institute, the Czech delegation was welcomed and accompanied by Acting Director of the Armenian Genocide Museum, Hrachya Tashchyan. He spoke about the history of the memorial complex's construction, its architectural features, and its significance.
The guests from the Czech Republic laid flowers at the eternal flame and observed a moment of silence in honor of the memorial. The memory of the innocent victims of the Armenian Genocide.
The delegation then toured the permanent and temporary exhibitions, learning about the history of the Armenian Genocide, the process by which it was carried out, the human and cultural losses suffered by the Armenian people, and the work being done to preserve historical memory. At the end of the tour, the head of the delegation signed the Book of Distinguished Guests of the Armenian Genocide Museum.
At its session on April 25, 2017, the Czech Parliament adopted a resolution recognizing the Armenian Genocide with 104 votes in favor.
