


ArmInfo. Following the incident involving an Azerbaijani soldier illegally crossing the Armenian border, RA Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan has dismissed David Sanamyan, Deputy Director of the RA National Security Service.
“Guided by Part 6, Article 9 of the Law ‘On Public Service’ and Part 4, Article 4.1 of the Law ‘On National Security Bodies,’ David Sanamyan is dismissed from the position of Deputy Director of the National Security Service,” the Prime Minister’s decision, which was distributed by the RA government press service, reads.
As a reminder, the detention of an Azerbaijani soldier was announced on October 1, 2026. According to investigators, he entered the village of Shaki in the Syunik region, where he opened fire and wounded a woman in front of her children. The wounded woman's life is not in danger; her condition is stable, and the children have received the necessary psychological support. The Armenian Prosecutor's Office has opened a criminal case against Nasimi Musayev. He is charged with illegal border crossing, smuggling and illegal arms trafficking, violating the privacy of a home, and causing grievous bodily harm. An Armenian court granted the investigator's motion and remanded him in custody for two months.
