


ArmInfo. Supreme Patriarch and Catholicos of All Armenians Garegin II received Paula White-Cain, Senior Advisor to the White House Office of Faith Affairs, at the Patriarchal Residence.
According to the Press Office of the Mother See of Etchmiadzin, the meeting was preceded by her participation in the Holy and Immortal Liturgy.
Garegin II welcomed White-Cain's visit to Armenia and the spiritual center of all Armenians, noting it as an opportune opportunity to get to know better the country that was the first to proclaim Christianity as a state religion, the Armenian people, and their rich spiritual and cultural heritage. He also expressed satisfaction with White-Cain's efforts to organize a meeting between President Donald Trump and Armenian spiritual leaders in the United States.
The interlocutors emphasized the role of religion and spiritual values in creating a secure, prosperous, and progressive life for peoples. It was noted that faith in God should be expressed through love, justice, and care for one's neighbor, strengthening human solidarity and peaceful coexistence. In this regard, the importance of the joint efforts of spiritual leaders for the sake of establishing world peace and a bright future for peoples was emphasized.
For her part, White-Cain thanked His Holiness for the warm welcome and shared her impressions of the Holy Liturgy, emphasizing the profound reverence and peace of mind she experienced during the sacred ceremony. The guest also expressed gratitude for Armenia's rich Christian heritage as a living testimony to the faith of the Armenian people.
It is worth noting that Paula White-Cain, Senior Advisor to the White House Office of Faith Affairs, visited Armenia to participate in the Second Prayer Breakfast, held on October 2-3 in Yerevan. Representatives of the Armenian Apostolic Church were not invited to the event.
