For nearly a quarter of a century, High Fest has been surprising and shaking the mind – this year on a cosmic scale

ArmInfo. The opening of Armenia's most spectacular theatrical event, the international theater festival for performing arts, High Fest, reached cosmic proportions this year.

Despite the fact that the festival has long been a flagship of innovation in Armenia's cultural life, literally shaking the minds of audiences every year, this year High Fest opened with a veritable parade of planets. Italian Luca Piallini presented an astonishing acrobatic show to Yerevan audiences in Cafesjian Park.

Artur Ghukasyan, the mastermind, founder, and president of High Fest, welcoming those gathered at Cafesjian Park, emphasized that the festival was celebrating its 24th anniversary. "Perhaps for Yerevan it's just a moment, and I'm already putting on my glasses to read my own text," he joked.

Ghukasyan recalled that High Fest has been included in the list of the 24 best European festivals, is an official partner of the Festival d'Avignon, and has become a favorite among both audiences and international experts. "How do we do it? Well, because we have a brilliant team and I'm fantastic! But jokes aside, tradition and innovation are at the heart of it all. We follow international trends and try to contribute to their formation whenever possible," the festival president said.

In addition to the traditional festival program, he noted that the region's first performing arts market, the High Fest Performance Market, will be held from October 3rd to 5th. With the participation of approximately 30 experts, directors, and representatives of international festivals. Panel discussions, pitching sessions, and debates will take place over the course of three days. "The result is new knowledge, joint productions, tours, and, most importantly, new ideas and projects," noted Gukasyan.

It's worth noting that the festival traditionally runs from October 1st to 8th under the motto "Festivally Yours" and will bring together over 200 participants from 11 countries.

Countries including the USA, Czech Republic, China, Italy, Russia, Portugal, and others.
