Issues included in the agenda of the comprehensive strategic partnership between Armenia and the United States were discussed at a meeting in Yerevan between Armenian Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan and US Assistant Secretary of State for Democracy, Human Rights, and Labor Riley Barnes.
According to the press service of the Armenian Foreign Ministry, satisfaction was expressed with the development of cooperation in various areas defined by the Partnership Charter.
The interlocutors exchanged views on ongoing work to strengthen democracy and the rule of law, as well as on developing ties based on civilizational commonalities between the societies of the two countries.
Mirzoyan and Barnes discussed regional developments and programs implemented to develop economic interdependence in the current peace environment. They exchanged views on possible steps to further strengthen peace. Humanitarian issues were raised.
