ArmInfo. The Armenian government is extending the program for partial compensation of utility bills for residents of border areas for another year. At its October 1 meeting, the RA government decided to allocate 1.090 billion drams for this purpose.
According to the rationale for the draft decision, the program expires on January 1, 2027, and now there is a need for its
extension. With the adoption of the document, the project's implementation period will be extended by one year.
It is worth noting that residents of border communities will receive 50% compensation for natural gas, electricity, and irrigation water costs. Households will also receive compensation for property taxes. In total, this applies to 82 border settlements in 13 border communities.
