The Public Broadcaster’s Council will investigate the circumstances of the incident related to the broadcast on OTA of Tata Simonyan’s concert on the sixth anniversary of the beginning of the 44-day war

ArmInfo.  The Council of Armenia’s Public Broadcaster will investigate the circumstances of the incident related to the broadcast on Public Television of a concert by Tata Simonyan, which was shown on the 6th anniversary of the start of the 44-day war. This is stated in the Council’s statement.

The statement recalls that on September 27, the 6th anniversary of the start of the 44-day war, Public Television aired a recording of a concert by Tata Simonyan. This fact elicited a strong public response and was met with entirely justified discontent, criticism and outrage. The following day, Public Television issued a public statement, acknowledging its mistake and apologizing to the public.

"The Council of the Public Broadcaster will investigate the circumstances of the incident and, within its authority, take appropriate measures against those responsible in order to henceforth rule out irresponsibility concerning issues that are extremely sensitive to the public," the statement says.
