ArmInfo. Following external dictates, talking about Armenia's sovereignty is pointless. This was stated by businessman Samvel Karapetyan, leader of the "Strong Armenia" bloc, speaking to journalists on September 25 before a regular court hearing, regarding Armenian-Russian relations.

According to him, these relations could be improved if "Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan sings "Mother Earth" instead of "Champs-Élysées." Amid statements that Pashinyan may visit Moscow soon, Karapetyan outlined his position on what to expect from him. "Russia is taking certain actions. The rest depends on Pashinyan, on his behavior. Only he can assess their relations (with Russia - ed.). "At the same time, I doubt we can talk about even 10% sovereignty right now. If we follow the dictates of outside influence, of Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev and his staff, every day, then it's simply shameful to talk about sovereignty," the bloc's leader stated.

Reacting to Pashinyan's statement that they are taking stock of relations with Russia, Karapetyan noted that his words shouldn't be taken seriously. "He can say anything at the moment. After a while, he'll start saying something different. That's why I advised him to sing a song," Karapetyan concluded.

As a reminder, on September 7, Russian presidential press secretary Dmitry Peskov told RIA Novosti that Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan's visit to Russia could take place in the near future, but the exact dates have not yet been determined.
