Arminfo. RA Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan participated in a panel discussion at the annual Concordia Summit, held within the framework of the UN General Assembly in New York.
As reported by the government press service, the prime minister answered the moderator’s questions regarding the peace established between Armenia and Azerbaijan and the opportunities arising as a result. Nikol Pashinyan noted that work is currently focused on implementing the TRIPP project, as a result of which regional connectivity will be fully opened. “This will open a new era for our country and economy,” the prime minister said, adding that this also brings the RA government’s “Crossroads of Peace” project to life.
The head of state then spoke about Armenia-US cooperation in the field of information technology and, in particular, artificial intelligence. Nikol Pashinyan emphasized that, as a result of the memorandum of understanding signed with the US on August 8 last year, three artificial intelligence centers were established in Armenia within a year, two of which are large-scale investment projects.
The prime minister also touched upon the development of information technology, adding that it is developing successfully in the country and is considered an important part of the economy. Nikol Pashinyan expressed confidence that Armenia’s investment attractiveness will steadily grow with the establishment of peace.
Prime Minister Pashinyan also answered questions about the possibilities of achieving self-sufficiency in the energy sector, the formation of energy storage facilities, and steps aimed at building a new nuclear power plant.
Speaking about relations with the United States and the European Union, Nikol Pashinyan noted that strategic partnerships have been established in both directions and emphasized that the Government of the Republic of Armenia will continue to deepen its balanced and measured foreign policy.
