Fidan: Turkey and the US support the peace process between Azerbaijan and Armenia

Arminfo.  Turkey and the United States support the peace process between Azerbaijan and Armenia and are making every effort to reduce the risks of escalating tensions in the Caucasus and the Black Sea.

As reported by TRT Haber, this was stated by Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan at the panel session “Turkish-American Relations on the Threshold of the 100th Anniversary” in New York.

In his speech, the Turkish diplomat emphasized the importance of cooperation between Ankara and Washington in maintaining global peace and stability. He added that the partnership between the two countries creates new opportunities for developing the region and preserving peace. Fidan also noted that the Black Sea region should not turn into a source of problems, but should become a platform for international cooperation.
