Arminfo. On September 14, discussions began at a session of the National Assembly of Armenia on the nomination of a chairperson for the parliamentary commission on territorial administration and environmental protection.
The opposition faction “Strong Armenia” nominated Ruben Mkhitaryan for the position. His biography was presented by Irina Yolyan, a member of parliament from the “Strong Armenia” faction.
In his speech, the candidate pointed out that the RA National Assembly is not only a legislative body. It is also very important to exercise oversight functions, especially when it comes to implementing major programs. Ruben Mkhitaryan also noted that when it comes to the construction of schools or water pipelines, the authorities take all the credit, but it should be borne in mind that the entire people contribute funds toward addressing these and other tasks.
We remind you that MPs David Kazinyan and Irina Yolyan had previously been nominated for this position, but the “Civil Contract” faction voted against their candidacies. This is the only commission whose chairperson has not yet been elected.
