A high level of fire danger persists in Armenia

ArmInfo. From September 14 to 17, a high fire hazard level is expected in the Ararat Valley and  in Yerevan, in Shirak, in the foothills of Aragatsotn, Kotayk and Vayots Dzor, as well as in the valleys of Syunik.  The warning was issued by the Hydrometeorology and Monitoring Center of the RA Ministry of Environment.

According to the source, no precipitation is expected in Armenia from September 14 to 18. The wind will be westerly, with gusts of up to 2-5 m/s. From September 14 to 17, the air temperature will gradually rise by 2-4 degrees.  In Shirak Province, the air temperature on September 14 will range from +24 to +29 during the day, and in Kotayk Province, from +24 to +30. In Gegharkunik, daytime temperatures are expected to range from +20 to +25, while in Lori Province, daytime temperatures will fluctuate between +25 and +29. In Tavush Province, the daytime air temperature is forecast to range from +25 to +32. In Aragatsotn Province, daytime temperatures are expected to range from +23 to +32. In Ararat Province, the daytime air temperature will range from +30 to +34. In Armavir, daytime temperatures are expected to range from +31 to +34. In Vayots Dzor Province, daytime temperatures will range from +24 to +34, and in Syunik Province, from +19 to +33.

In Yerevan, no precipitation is expected from September 14 to 18 as well. On September 14, the daytime air temperature in the capital will rise to +31 to +33.
